Electric Vehicle Fleet and Charging Stations

ACUA is aggressively working to green its fleet and encourage the development of infrastructure to support electric vehicles. We have several EV charging stations powering electric and hybrid vehicles in our daily operations.

Our  Vehicles

Ford Fusion Plug-In Hybrid
Each of ACUA's four plug-in Ford Fusion vehicles have a combined city and highway mileage rating of 88 mpg using a combination of electricity and gasoline. The Fusion can travel up to 19 miles using the electric motor before seamlessly switching to the hybrid gasoline engine. For those with a short commute, this midsize sedan will essentially run as an all-electric vehicle. The Fusion can be charged with a 120 volt electrical outlet in 7 hours, or in 2.5 hours using a 220 volt outlet or at stations such as ACUA’s. The sedan’s batteries will partially recharge through regenerative braking.
Nissan Leaf
The 100% electric Nissan Leaf uses a lithium-ion battery to store electricity. ACUA's 2012 model can travel up to 100 miles on a full charge and the 2019 model has a range of 150-226 miles. It can be charged using a common household outlet.
Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid
The Prius has the capability of traveling up to 62 mph using electric power alone. In EV2 mode, which refers to the blended option of electricity and gas, it receives an equivalent of 95 mpg.
Electric Global Electric Motors (GEM) Vehicles
ACUA has three electric utility vehicles to use across our facilities for work on site. The low-speed vehicles have a top speed of 25 mph, can drive between 30-40 miles on a single charge, and have zero emissions
