ACUA provides biweekly recycling collection. View recycling guidelines for Atlantic County.

ACUA provides weekly trash collection.

ACUA will collect 2 bulky items every trash day. This includes a mattress or piece of furniture, for example. This does not include construction or demolition debris.

Residents can schedule a metals/appliance pickup with Public Works by calling 609.646.0664.

ACUA collects yard waste on select Tuesdays or Wednesdays throughout the year. Brush/branches should not exceed 4 ft. in length or 8 in. in diameter and should be tied with twine. View schedule for exact dates.

Container Guidelines

Recycling: The City of Absecon has provided recycling carts to every household. This should be the primary container for recycling materials. Recycling should be placed loose in the recycling carts provided by the city.

Trash: Beginning June 2022, Absecon will provide trash carts to every household. This should be the primary container for trash materials. Click here for details. 

Yard Waste: Residents may use any clearly marked container meant for outdoor collection or yard waste bags. NO plastic bags. Loose branches should be tied with twine.

Please note: Containers, when full, may not weigh more than 50 lbs. If using a cart, this weight limit does not apply. No barrels or drums will be emptied.


 

Waste Drop Off Services

Electronics must be recycled through a certified retailer or approved recycler. Click here for local options.

Household Hazardous Waste should be taken to ACUA drop-offs throughout the year and never placed in your household trash can. View dates and information.
