Master Composter Training

The next Master Composter Training will be held on Friday, February 22, and Saturday, February 23, 2019. It will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Atlantic County residents will be given the first opportunity to participate. The cost for the two-day training is $40.

ACUA has teamed up with the Rutgers New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station to bring a composting class to local residents. Participants will learn how composting helps reduce waste and can be used as a great soil amendment for your garden and plants. Participants will receive a firsthand look at how waste is handled in Atlantic County by touring ACUA's Environmental Park and learning how ACUA's composting site turns yard waste into EcoSoil.

A variety of presenters will provide information to build student’s knowledge on composting basics, soils and even worm composting.

If you would like to get assistance, or have questions about backyard composting or the training itself, please email us!
