Composting: Nature's Way of Recycling

"Compost" is the soil product that results once the organic matter has broken down.

Organic waste accounts for approximately 30 percent of the trash we throw away at home. By composting this waste instead of throwing it away, we save valuable landfill space, which in turn saves money on disposal fees.

Best of all - composting recycles organic material into a valuable product!

ACUA collects yard waste like clean wood waste and brush then shreds them in a tub grinder. Wood waste is recycled into EcoChips™. Brush is used in the compost process.

Leaves are placed into "windrows" or piiles, which are watered and turned on a regular basis.
