Bulky Waste  ACUA - Last Thursday of Every Month - Limit 2 bulky items per collection day including non-commercial tires with rims removed and carpeting  (1 roll cut into 4 ft. sections = 1 bulky item).

Residents can drop electronics off at City Hall on Thursdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. or can click here for other local options. 

Metals ACUA - Scrap metal and appliances with CFCs removed will be collected with bulky waste. 
Household Hazardous Waste
Please bring any household hazardous waste to our drop-offs throughout the year. Click here for more information.  


Items must be out before 7 a.m.

Containers, when full, may not weigh more than 50 lbs. Containers weighing more than 50 lbs. will not be emptied. Carts are dumped using a hydraulic tipper and do not require the same weight restrictions.

ACUA will no longer empty drums and barrels of any size for recycling, trash or yard waste.  

Most Atlantic County residents are eligible to receive one 20-gallon recycling bucket per year at no cost. If using a non-ACUA recycling container, please ensure it is clearly marked for recycling. Request stickers online.  

Please refer to your municipality's trash and recycling ordinance for other specific container guidelines.
