We would like to thank everyone who participated in our Virtual Drive Electric Celebration. Speakers with diverse knowledge about the electric vehicle industry gave informative presentations to help residents understand the benefits of electric vehicles and how the electric vehicle network is growing in New Jersey.

      Speaker Bios:

      Drive Electric - Friedman

      Andrea Friedman

      Andrea Friedman is approaching her 20th anniversary at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, where she supervises electric vehicle programs in the Division of Air Quality.   Andrea focuses on policy and program development, implementation of new initiatives, public charging infrastructure, and electrification of the state fleet. Previously, Andrea was a founding member of the DEP Office of Climate and Energy, working at the intersection of climate change, clean energy and clean transportation.


      Drive Electric - Gabel Frank

      Eve Gabel-Frank

      Eve Gabel-Frank, Associate at Gabel Associates, has expertise in environmental and transportation planning with a focus on transit planning and Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping.


      Ms. Gabel-Frank’s work strongly focuses on transportation electrification and provides key support for the ChargEVC-NJ coalition, a diverse group of stakeholders advocating for electrification of the transportation sector. Some of her key tasks include research support for comprehensive EV studies, membership recruitment, marketing activities including maintaining an active presence on social media platforms, attending conferences, and facilitating Ride-and-Drive events.  She also supports policy and regulatory matters through interaction with state agencies. In addition, Ms. Gabel-Frank performs geographic analysis for various studies and projects. These maps have been used to identify EV opportunities and the optimal locations for charging infrastructure, as well as create statewide and utility service area demographic profiles.


      Drive Electric - Goka

      Nekabari Goka

      Nekabari Goka is a Principal Business Program Manager for the Utility of the Future team at Pepco Holdings (parent company of Atlantic City Electric). In his role, Nekabari manages transportation electrification policy and strategy across all Pepco Holdings service territories in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey. Prior to joining the Utility of the Future team at Pepco, Nekabari spent the last eight years in various roles across the power and utilities industry building subject matter expertise in the areas of distributed energy resource technology policy, demand side energy management strategy, and electricity market design. A native of Atlanta Georgia Nekabari received Bachelor’s of Arts degrees in both Economics and International Affairs from The University of Georgia in 2012, as well as a Master of Science degree with areas of focus in Information and Communication Technologies and Energy Policy from The Georgia Institute of Technology in 2014.
