Diesel exhaust from trucks, trains, ships and buses emit fine particles known as soot and various toxic gases into our air every day. That's why we converted our entire diesel fleet of on-road and off-road vehicles to biodiesel -- a simple to use, biodegradable, nontoxic and essentially sulfur- and aromatic compound-free fuel. As we steadily make the switch to compressed natural gas
, our remaining fleet will continue to run on a B5 blend, which is a combination of 5 percent biodiesel with 95 percent ultra-low sulfur diesel.
ACUA biodiesel use is estimated to save 485 barrels of crude oil annually.
