Unused or out-dated cell phones (and chargers) that are still in working order can be donated to the Atlantic County Women's Center for its Violence Intervention Program. Enables you to donate your phone to a charity. Each charity is listed separately with a description of the benefit of your phone donation making it simple to select a cause. Shipping instructions also provided separately for each charity.

Charitable Recycling - www.charitablerecycling.com
Send your cell phone to Charitable Recycling and they will provide a monetary donation to charity for each cell phone collected. You must select a charity from a list on the site. Free shipping available for a group of 50 or more phones after contacting Charitable Recycling. For single phones, generate packing list, shipping label, and tax donation receipt from the site.

Phones collected benefits Verizon Wireless' HopeLine program to help victims of domestic abuse. The site has a store locator to find a local drop-off location.

Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) Consumer Education Initiative - www.eiae.org
Contains a wealth of information on the environmental issues of electronics recycling and information about how and where to recycle cell phones and other electronic equipment.
