SUMMARY:Backyard Composting Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Curious about composting? Join the ACUA and the Atlantic County Master Composters to learn the basics of backyard composting so you can start reducing the amount of waste you send to the landfill while creating a nutrient rich soil amendment for your garden! Composting is easy when you know the basics! \r\n These free Compost 101 workshops are open to everyone and offer a change to get information, ask questions and to see composting in action at ACUA's Community Garden. \r\n Workshops are held at the Geo Administrative Building, which is the first building on the right at ACUA's Environmental Park (6700 Delilah Road in Egg Harbor Township). We'll meet inside the Geo Building to start and, weather permitting, will have the chance for hands on work in the ACUA's Compost Demonstration Site. Take a look at different types of bins (including the Home Composter avaialble for sale at ACUA) and see how composting works.
