Tours are held every Wednesday in July and August at 12 PM.

Guests will have the opportunity to stand beneath a wind turbine, observe wind power in action, and ask questions about renewable energy and wastewater treatment.

Open House Tours are perfect for families and visitors of all ages. Each tour lasts approximately one hour. No advance registration is required, but please arrive a few minutes before noon. For groups larger than 5, kindly email ar@acua.com or call 609-272-6950.

Atlantic County residents can safely dispose of their hazardous waste at ACUA's drop-off.

Household hazardous waste must never be poured down the drain or placed in the trash. Products must be disposed of properly.

The ACUA Board Meeting for the month of July will be held on the third Thursday of the month, at 3 p.m., at ACUA's Wastewater Treatment Facility (B Building), 1801 Absecon Boulevard in Atlantic City. Meetings are open to the public.

Composting at home is easier than you might think! Come out to ACUA to learn what you need to start turning food scraps and leaves into a valuable, nutrient rich soil amendment. There's no cost to attend, and no prior experience is needed. We'll meet indoors to learn the basics, and then, weather permitting, we'll take a look at ACUA's Compost Demonstration Site where you can see different types of compost bins and what the process looks like.

ACUA and the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Atlantic County partner to offer free gardening programming to the community. Programs are held at the Geo Administrative Building, which is the first building on the right at ACUA's Environmental Park (6700 Delilah Road in Egg Harbor Township). We'll meet outdoors in the garden (weather permitting) or inside the Geo Building. Please register for Garden Talks below to be informed of any changes to the schedule.

Join us for a deep dive into everything tomato! From planting tips to exploring the many varieties, discover how these versatile fruits come in all shapes, sizes, and colors.  They can be grown for a wide range of uses too. Ever wondered if flavor changes with tomato color? Participants will have the chance to taste and find out for themselves!
