Kyleigh Pelikan is an Atlantic County resident and recently graduated as Student of the Year from Galloway Township Middle School. She is passionate about environmentalism and is doing her part to keep her community clean.
Kyleigh started a Facebook Group called the "Port Anti Litter Campaign" where she is sharing updates about litter cleanups she is organizing in the City of Port Republic. She is also sharing information about the harmful effects of litter. Kyleigh's efforts have caught the attention of volunteers who have attended her litter cleanups at the Harry Bowen Memorial Field. She created an informational display and pamphlets to help educate the community.
Kyleigh will be attending Cedar Creek High School in September and was accepted into their Environmental Science Magnet Program. She currently plans to continue furthering her education in environmental studies after high school.
