May 18, 2023

Arthur saw an ACUA truck at Wawa during lunch one day, which gave him the idea to call ACUA for an interview.  He started his career in June 2007 as a Laborer in the Collections Department. He also worked in Buildings and Groups where he was able to learn carpentry, electrical work, and HVAC skills.

Arthur later transitioned to the Wastewater Treatment Facility when he took the role as Water Pollution Control Operator I. He has since advanced to Shift Supervisor and holds an S3 License.

Today he is responsible for overseeing and assigning operations tasks, monitoring the treatment process to ensure it meets NJDEP standards, ensuring equipment is operational and maintained, and seeing projects through to completion.

Arthur likes that there are training opportunities at ACUA and wants to see his team to thrive at work and go home with a sense of self-worth. “We all need to be able to take the lead. It’s important to be prepared.”

Arthur is looking forward to pursuing his S4 license and is currently working on his bachelor’s degree in Business Technology. He hopes to become a future leader at ACUA and would like to obtain a master’s degree in Business Administration.
