“Earth Day is a lot of fun, but it also gives us a chance to get people to think about recycling. The Art Contest provides another avenue to reinforce the importance of recycling and other sustainable practices,” ACUA President Dovey explained. “The contest is open to everyone, and we’ve had some great submissions the last two years. It’s a good opportunity for people to use their creativity and resourcefulness in a way that raises awareness about recycling and the waste that we produce.”

All participants, along with their families and friends, are encouraged to attend the ACUA’s Earth Day festival. Contest winners will be acknowledged during an awards ceremony at ACUA’s Earth Day Event at 11 a.m. at the Recycling Center.
