Did you know transportation is the number one contributor to greenhouse gas pollution in New Jersey? We invite the public to learn about an alternative to traditional gasoline vehicles by attending Atlantic County Utilities Authority’s (ACUA) 5th Annual Drive Electric Celebration on Thursday, September 19, 2019, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the ACUA Environmental Park on Delilah Road in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.

Curious residents, car enthusiasts, business owners and all members of the public are invited to attend.

Speakers from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), Stockton University and Pepco Holdings, Inc. will discuss the latest incentives, research and benefits for purchasing electric vehicles or installing charging stations.

The latest available vehicle models as well as electric motorcycles, bicycles, golf carts, scooters and UTVs will be on display.

“ACUA has been utilizing electric and hybrid vehicles in our fleet for many years, and this event allows us to share what we’ve learned with the public,” said ACUA President Rick Dovey. “By bringing together state leaders, dealerships and real-world users together at one event, businesses, residents and municipalities can learn all there is to know about going electric.”

The event is part of a countrywide celebration of electric vehicles known as “National Drive Electric Week” hosted by Plug in America, the Sierra Club and the Electric Auto Association.
