A small fire was detected in the ACUA Transfer Station located at 6700 Delilah Road in Egg Harbor Township on Saturday, August 7, at approximately 6:30 a.m. The fire was reported immediately to local officials and was quickly controlled by first responders. Waste was diverted to the recycling center tipping floor for temporary storage. Normal operations resumed at 10 a.m.
No injuries were sustained and the building was not damaged.
