Step 3 - Schedule a Date for Disposal - Asbestos is accepted at ACUA’s Environmental Park from commercial haulers Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with no advanced notice required.
Commercial haulers needing to dispose of asbestos during other business hours Monday through Friday, fill out the following special request form, and you will be contacted by ACUA with a disposal date and time.
Step 4 - Bring Asbestos to ACUA for Disposal - All commercial haulers or contractors must have a manifest, supplied by the ACUA or their own, showing the type of material (friable/ non-friable), generator name, address, telephone number and contact person, and show the same information about the hauler, removal contractor and disposal site. If a manifest is not included with the load at time of disposal, the load will be rejected. Commercial haulers must haul in a NJDEP registered vehicle. All vehicles must be properly tarped.
