ACUA - Recycling Drop-Offs

Atlantic County residents may dispose of the following recycling materials (at no charge) at the Recycling Drop-Off located at our Environmental Park (to the left of our scalehouse) during regular Solid Waste Operations hours. Items must be individually off-loaded.

Separate Containers are Available for Residents to Recycle:

Single-Stream Recycling Materials

NO Plastic Bags! All items should be loose with no food or liquid residue.

This container accepts:

PLASTICS

#1, 2, and 5 plastic bottles, containers, and jugs.
Water/Soda/Juice bottles
Milk Jugs
Shampoo Bottles
Laundry Detergent Jugs
Ketchup Bottles
Plastic Egg Cartons
Yogurt Containers
Iced Coffee Cups
Margarine Tubs

GLASS

All glass bottles, containers, and jars.

PAPER

Printer Paper
Envelopes (with or without windows)
Cereal Boxes
Junk Mail
Magazines/Newspapers
Telephone Books

METAL

Aluminum/Steel/Tin cans and lids.

Cardboard

Have a lot of excess cardboard or large boxes? ACUA accepts cardboard at no cost from Atlantic County residents. All cardboard should be broken down before being placed in the container.

Shredded Paper

Residents can place shredded paper in paper bags or clear plastic bags for disposal. Please DO NOT leave shredded paper loose.

Bulk Rigid Plastics

Residents can recycle bulky rigid plastic items at the designated dumpster. These large plastic items cannot be recycled curbside.

Shell Recycling

ACUA is proud to partner with the NJDEP Fish & Wildlife on hosting drop-off containers for their Shell Recycling Program. Residents can drop off oyster and clam shells for recycling.

Books and Media

ACUA is proud to partner with the Used Book Company by hosting a drop-off container to find a second life for books and media. Proceeds go to the Community FoodBank of NJ.
