HOW IT WORKS
ACUA’s collection staff will retrieve trash and recycling containers from your residence, empty them and return them to the residence. Participating residents will NOT need to bring containers to the curb.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE
Brigantine, Ventnor, Margate and Longport Residents who currently receive curbside collection.
GUIDELINES
Trash Collection: All trash must be placed in the 96-gallon trash cart. ACUA will collect up to two 96-gallon wheeled trash carts at each property during your scheduled week.
Recycling Collection: All recycling must be placed in the 96-gallon recycling cart. The ACUA will collect up to two recycling carts at each property during your scheduled week.
Additional 96-gallon trash or recycling carts are available for purchase for $80. Residents may continue to use the 96-gallon carts during the year, even when Valet Season ends.
- Valet service does not include yard waste collection, metals, or bulky collection. Please follow your town's regular schedule for this service.
- Condominiums, apartments and commercial establishments are not eligible for valet service.
- Residents will need to apply prior to 3 p.m. on Thursday to begin service the following week.
- If a resident applies after a service period begins, rates will not be pro-rated. The full rate for that service period will be charged, and service will begin the following week.
- Valet collection will be performed during the same week of your scheduled collection, but it may occur on a different day.
- Containers may not be stored in sheds or garages, must not be blocked, and a clear path must be accessible. If access to the carts is blocked or restricted, carts will not be emptied.
- If you reside in a multi-unit home, each unit must submit separate applications. ACUA will not service multiple units submitted under one valet application.
- New for 2025: ACUA will affix a valet sticker on carts to properly identify containers for service.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Residents that have already submitted a valet application must request a cancellation from ACUA in writing, by calling 609-272-6950 or via email to valet@acua.com at least 7 days prior to the start of the service period to be eligible for a refund.
