ACUA provides biweekly recycling collection. View recycling guidelines for Atlantic County.

ACUA provides weekly trash collection.

ACUA will collect 2 bulky items every trash day. This includes a mattress or piece of furniture, for example. This does not include construction or demolition debris.

ACUA will collect scrap metals and appliances with CFCs removed. Contact Public Works for other metal disposal.

ACUA collects yard waste  in Collings Lakes, Newtonville, Cedar Gardens and designated areas only.  View schedule for dates. Brush/branches should not exceed 4 ft. in length or 8 in. in diameter and should be tied with twine. 

Container Guidelines

Recycling:  Recycling should be placed loose in containers meant for outdoor curbside collection.

Trash: Residents may use any container meant for outdoor trash collection.

Yard Waste: Residents may use any clearly marked container meant for outdoor collection or yard waste bags. NO plastic bags. Loose branches should be tied with twine.

Please note: Containers must not weigh more than 50 lbs. If using a cart, this weight limit does not apply. No barrels or drums.

Waste Drop Off Services

Electronics, Metals, Appliances, Motor Oil, Brush/Leaves, Recyclables and Tires with rims removed can be taken to the BVT Public Works Yard on the first Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. to noon.

Household Hazardous Waste should be taken to ACUA drop-offs throughout the year and never placed in your household trash can. View dates and information.
